COASTAL BEHAVIORAL THERAPY, INC currently subcontracts the following services to meet the needs of the children and families of Brevard, Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties. 


CONTRACT  DESCRIPTIONS


1. Contract: Specialized Mentor (children and adults)

Minimum requirements for a Specialized Mentor include at least 1 year experience working with children and families and/or pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or other comparable field. All Mentors must have completed Level II background checks (https://info.flclearinghouse.com ), Local Criminal History Checks, and a Children's Functional Assessment Rater (CFAR) and Functional Assessment Rater (FAR) number assigned to them.


Where: The location of treatment may include the office, home or community setting depending on the client’s or family’s availability. We provide services in Brevard, Osceola, Orange, and Seminole County.  


Rate: $19-$22 per client contact hour  


Specialized Mentors allow children aged 3-17 years old access to home or community-based instruction related to health, personal development, social development, and life skills.  These activities may include connecting them to local community centers to build peer relationships, access sports, fishing, and/or reading together, etc.  Mentoring will also introduce children to new activities/sports to encourage exercise as needed.  An important function is to help the family access free community resources so that they may continue after closure of the case.  Positive role modeling will be a crucial part of the mentoring program.  The service is not intended to be therapeutic, only a positive experience.  Service duration generally lasts up to 6 months.  Each case is evaluated individually.  If a case requires a shorter or longer intervention, you can propose your recommendation to the respective funding source for approval.


Contractor will be responsible for client management, scheduling and documentation that verifies completed service.

Coastal Behavioral Therapy maintains contracts with several social service agencies for the Specialized Mentor contract.  Each agency sets forth different documentation requirements and deadlines that each Contractor must comply with in addition to guidelines set forth by the Department of Children and Families (DCF).


2. Contract: Individual/ Family Counselors

Minimum requirements for Individual/Family Therapist include at least a Master's in counseling, psychology, social work, or comparable field and must be under supervision of a LMHC or LSW.  Must have completed Level II background checks  ( https://info.flclearinghouse.com ), Local Criminal History Checks, and a Children's Functional Assessment Rater (CFAR) and Functional Assessment Rater (FAR) number assigned to them.


Where: The location of treatment may include the office, telehealth, or home setting depending on the client’s or family’s availability. We provide services in Brevard, Osceola, Orange, and Seminole County.  


Rate: $35-$50 per client contact hour  


Contractor will be responsible for client management, scheduling, and documentation such as treatment progress notes, treatment plans, biopsychosocials, and other assessments.


Coastal Behavioral Therapy maintains contracts with several social service agencies for the Individual/Family Therapy contract. Each agency sets forth different documentation requirements and deadlines that each Contractor must comply with in addition to guidelines set forth by the Department of Children and Families (DCF).


3. Contract: Behavior Management Provider

Minimum requirements for Behavior Management Providers include certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc. as a BCaBA or BCBA or have completed the requirements to sit for the BCBA or BCaBA examination. Must have completed Level II background checks ( https://info.flclearinghouse.com ) , Local Criminal History Checks, and a Children's Functional Assessment Rater (CFAR) number assigned to them.


Where: The location of treatment may include the office, telehealth, community, or home setting depending on the client’s or family’s availability. We provide services in Brevard, Osceola, Orange, and Seminole County.  


Rate: $35-$50 per client contact hour  


Contractor will be responsible for client management, scheduling, and documentation such as treatment progress notes, monthly progress report, individualized behavior plans, behavioral assessments, and CFARS.


Coastal Behavioral Therapy maintains contracts with several social service agencies for the Behavior Management contract. Each agency sets forth different documentation requirements and deadlines that each Contractor must comply with in addition to guidelines set forth by the Department of Children and Families (DCF).


4. Contract- Behavior Management Associate


Behavior Management Associate services will be implemented by individuals working towards their Masters in an Applied Behavior Analysis program, completing the FIT Certification Program, or completing internship hours for the respective BACB certification test, or has a Bachelor degree along with at least 1 years working with at-risk children, a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), or a non-degreed person with 3 years intensive experience who passes a BMA exam prepared by a BCBA. Behavior Management Associates will be monitored by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.  Must have completed Level II background checks ( https://info.flclearinghouse.com ) , Local Criminal History Checks, and a Children's Functional Assessment Rater (CFAR) number assigned to them.


Where: The location of treatment may include the office, home or community setting depending on the client’s or family’s availability. We provide services in Brevard, Osceola, Orange, and Seminole County.  


Rate: $22-$26 per client contact hour  


Population:  Children ranging from 4-17 years of age. Non-Medicaid recipients.  


Duration: Treatment duration generally lasts up to 6 months. Each case is evaluated individually. If a case requires a shorter or longer intervention, we will propose our recommendation to the respective funding source for approval.   


Service Protocol: BMA will allow access to home or community-based instruction related to health, personal development, social development, and life skills. At intake, the BMA will complete an Intake Goal Checklist to assist in identifying specific areas of needs or deficits of the child. These identified needs will be addressed each session. Session activities may include playing in the local parks to build peer relationships, sports, and other positive recreational activities that are not easily accessible to them given as reinforcement for meeting attainable goals. Important function is to increase positive behaviors through compliance training, utilization of positive praise, and setting expectations. Positive role modeling will be a crucial part of our BMAs. The service is intended to be a completely positive, skill-building experience.
